Katherine Lo (Treasurer) Kathy Lo is a senior manager in the employee benefits tax practice of Deloitte Tax LLP.  Her work focuses on legislative and regulatory issues affecting employee benefit programs.  Prior to joining Deloitte, she was a SAS programmer and is very proficient with many of the software programs available.  Kathy holds a B.A. in Mathematics and Biological Sciences and a M.A. in Mathematical Finance from Boston University, where she was a teaching fellow.  In addition, she graduated from Northeastern University with a M.S. in Taxation.  Kathy's interest in girls' issues developed over the course of her professional career as an active participant in Deloitte's Women's Initiative for the retention and advancement of women.  Influential factors that affect girls' development, such as culture, are of specific interest to her, and the question as to whether these factors can be cultivated to empower girls as leaders, motivate Kathy's desire to serve as treasurer on the Girls' Coalition Leadership Council.
