Leading up to our Funder Briefing on the importance of STEM for girls, we wanted to share a great STEM resource for parents and providers!
Braincake.org is a great (free!) STEM resource for girls on the web. Developed by the Girls, Math, and Science Partnership at the Carnegie Science Center, Braincake provides girls with fun activities and information about careers in science, engineering, technology, and math.
Some of the cool of the really cool features of Braincake.org include:
- Feed your Head: A place to find fun games and experiments, biographies of women in science, and related web resources.
- She's Livin' It: A virtual mentoring programming that pairs girls who are interested in STEM careers with women who are working in STEM fields.
- GirlTalk Radio: A radio show focused on STEM that is by, for, and about girls in science!
