The Girls' Coalition of Greater Boston is sensitive to privacy issues on the Internet and we make every effort to protect the privacy of our members. Only those who have explicitly agreed to share their contact information are listed in the secure Member Directory, for example, and we do not share contact information with other organizations.  Rather, we function as an intermediary and forward information and announcements from other agencies directly to our members and web users.

When personal information is required for use of the website or in interacting with the website (e.g., name, email address, postal address, telephone number), this information is treated as private and confidential. It is stored in a secure location, is accessible only to appropriate staff, and is used only for the purposes for which the information has been provided, such as to sign up for membership or to register for an event. 

We may compile information on aggregate statistics that show the number of visitors to our site, the requests we receive for specific information on our website, and/or the Internet Service Providers (ISPs) who make these requests. The aggregated statistics may be used by our staff and consultants to improve the website in an ongoing effort to provide better information and services.

This site contains links to sites of other organizations that we believe may be useful to our members because they focus on girls and offer resources of value to girls and/or their adult advocates. While we try to link only to sites that share our high standards, we cannot be responsible for the content or the privacy practices of other sites.
